Empathy . Write your Thoughts
Oh God! Oh God! Why did we eat the puddin? We are two stupids, We cannot control ourselves and here it is reflected, the ùddin was so tentative and we aer it, when we knew we should not.
Seriously, look how stupid we are, look it us, two young boys hiding under the bed, scared and regretfull for something we could avoid. I want to cry, god!
What's gonna be our father's reaction? When mom came and my dad wouldnt se the puddin he will kill us, really. We are going to be grounded minimun for 2 years. we shouldm't did this.
Bur well, I have to change the attitude, the puddin is ate, and pur father will be angry, we have to be concious and resolve this, we can invent an excuse... I am sure my brother will think of an exelent excusa, I only pray to god to save us.
Conventillo y Sainete
Conventillo

Essay
An
Essay on The Son´s Veto
In The Son´s Veto, by Thomas Hardy, a woman named Sophy wants to marry
an ordinary man, her old friend Sam, after her first husband dies and her son
does not want her to. The author shows that marriage without love is not good
and that discrimination for social class is terrible.
In the short story, Sophy marries Mr
Twycott when she is nineteen, twenty years younger than Mr Twycott. He is a
vicar and a widower and Sophy´s master. He tells her to marry him after she
twists her foot and could not stand up. She is disabled for a long time. Sophy
does not exactly love him, but she has respect for him. She says yes because
of respect and money, because she comes
from a poor family.
Sophy is not well educated and is
from a poor family in Gaymead. People discriminate her so Mr Twycott decides to
move after marrying because it is social suicide in front of the neighbours.
Her husband wants her to have a good education when she speaks. For example, she
confuses the use of “was” and “were”. So he helps her to improve this.
Also, Sophy is discriminated by her
son, Randolph. He is a gentelman and is ordained a priest. He studied at a
Public School and he does not live with his mother. He is irritated when his
mother speaks badly. So Sophy feels lonely and sad because her son feels
ashamed of her.
In The Son´s Veto, the author shows that marriage without love is not
good and that discrimination for social class is terrible. This makes Sophy
feel sad and she dies, being middle aged and on a wheeled chair. She dies alone
in her house thinking that her son does not love her. Reading this short story
made me realize how important it is to accept the other person as he is and not
to reject him.

The bad example of a mother - short story
We read a short story in class and the task was that we had to prepare our own short story based on "The Son's Veto"
The bad example of a mother
It was the Chrismas night. I was with all my family. I was talking
with my mother when my father turned on a firework. He started to run but the firework
exploded before time. So my father who was called Alejandro died. Viky, my
mother, was a beautiful woman, she was 30 years old. She didn’t speak very well so I didn’t love her very much. I corrected
my mother all the time. Viky was a drug dealer. And I said to Viky to stop doing that because the police was
going to cath her.
One day Viky didn’t arrive at the house so I
started to be scared because my mother came quickly every day. I started to
call her lots of times but my mother didn’t have the phone. I thought that the
car was broken. But it was not that. Ring, ring, ring. Somebody was calling me.
It was the police. They had my mother because of her business and because she
was stealing cars on the street.
I was in
my house alone month after month. One day I was walking in the street and a
group of people caught me. They took me to a very dark place. They told me “If
you don’t tell us what we need you are going to die. Where is your mother? She
has to give a lot of money to us”. I didn’t say anything. In the night I was
alone in the dark room so I went out and started to run to my house. When I was
running to my house, a girl called me. She was my girlfriend called Martina.
She told me to enter to her house. I was very happy because my girlfriend invited
me to her house but very sad because some people were locking my mother. We were
eating some food when somebody phoned me. It was Viky telling me that she was out of prison and now was at home. I,
very angrily, went home. When I was inside, I told Vicky some people caught me
because of her. “They told me that you have to give a lot of money. If you don’t
give the money, they are going to kill us”. Well I am going to leave the house
because I have a stupid mother and she is a drugs dealer. I am going to my girlfrind´s
house.
A month
later the police found me because my mother continued selling drugs so she was
in prision but the most important reason why they called was that my mother
died because she took drugs.
